Profile: Dennis Lord, CPIM

Dennis Lord is the founder and Executive Director of Inventory Management Solutions located in Toronto. Our mission is to be a superior provider of leading-edge, lean supply chain management methods and education to help companies achieve market place excellence by using 21st century lean inventory and supply chain techniques.

Dennis is an internationally renowned educator and management consultant. He has earned the title inventory guru by dedicating more than 25 years providing sound inventory and supply chain management solutions for companies around the world. His practical experience includes key management roles with major corporations in the food, automotive, aerospace, packaging, and high-tech manufacturing sectors that have converted to the “lean” methodology.

Dennis is APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and has completed advanced business courses at the University of Toronto. Dennis is a popular speaker for APICS professional development meetings and has made presentations at the APICS International Conference and the APICS Small Manufacturing Symposiums.

His volunteer  activities with APICS (The Association for Operations Management) included holding the following positions: President of the APICS Toronto Chapter, Chair of APICS Small Manufacturing SIG (Specific Industry Group), VP Education for the APICS Peel Chapter, Director on the Board of The Operations Management Education and Research Institute of Canada(OMERIC), and Region VIII VP Marketing and Membership.
